The
Children’s Security Blanket Project, Inc. was created to offer financial
assistance and support to families with children facing life-threatening
illnesses. When a child becomes ill, our “security blanket” seeks to
embrace the entire family with warmth and caring. Our mission is to
provide assistance with transportation, lodging, meals, and other expenses
not covered by insurance when families travel outside of Spartanburg
County for treatments. The Security Blanket Project Board of
Directors and volunteers also host numerous events, including shopping
sprees and parties, to bring joy into the children’s lives and take
emphasis off their illnesses.
